Smartsheet integration

In short

Read sheets and add or update rows. Connect it on the Integrations page; your app then calls Smartsheet through Sapilon without ever holding a Smartsheet credential.

Lets your app list and read sheets, search, and add or update rows in the sheets the connected account can open.

Connecting

On the Integrations page choose Connect on Smartsheet and fill in:

  • API access token — Smartsheet → Account → Personal settings → API Access → Generate new access token.

Sapilon checks the key with the provider before it saves it, and stores it encrypted; it is never shown again.

  • Accounts on smartsheet.com only; Smartsheet Gov and EU regions are not supported yet.

What your app can do

Only these requests are available; anything else is refused.

  • GET /sheets
  • GET /sheets/*
  • POST|PUT /sheets/*/rows
  • GET /search

How the agent uses it

Use integrations.request('smartsheet', …); paths are relative to https://api.smartsheet.com/2.0.

  • GET /sheets — sheets the account can open. GET /sheets/{sheetId} — columns and rows.
  • POST /sheets/{sheetId}/rows — add rows. Example: { method: 'POST', path: '/sheets/42/rows', body: [{ toBottom: true, cells: [{ columnId: 7, value: 'Acme' }] }] }.
  • PUT /sheets/{sheetId}/rows — update rows by id: body: [{ id: 9, cells: [{ columnId: 7, value: 'Done' }] }].
  • GET /search — Example: { method: 'GET', path: '/search', query: { query: 'Acme' } }.

Cells are addressed by column id: read the sheet first. Deleting is not allowed.
