Copper integration

In short

Search, create and update people, companies and opportunities. Connect it on the Integrations page; your app then calls Copper through Sapilon without ever holding a Copper credential.

Lets your app search, read, create and update people, companies and opportunities and log activities in a Copper CRM account, as the user whose API key you use.

Connecting

On the Integrations page choose Connect on Copper and fill in:

  • API key — Copper → Settings → Integrations → API Keys → Generate API key.
  • Email of the key’s user — The email of the Copper user who generated the key.

Sapilon checks the key with the provider before it saves it, and stores it encrypted; it is never shown again.

What your app can do

Only these requests are available; anything else is refused.

  • POST /people/search
  • POST /people
  • GET|PUT /people/*
  • POST /companies/search
  • POST /companies
  • GET|PUT /companies/*
  • POST /opportunities/search
  • POST /opportunities
  • GET|PUT /opportunities/*
  • POST /activities

How the agent uses it

Use integrations.request('copper', …); paths are relative to https://api.copper.com/developer_api/v1.

  • POST /people/search, /companies/search, /opportunities/search — Example: { method: 'POST', path: '/people/search', body: { emails: ['sara@acme.com'], page_size: 25 } }.
  • POST /people, /companies, /opportunities — create. Example: { method: 'POST', path: '/companies', body: { name: 'Acme', email_domain: 'acme.com' } }.
  • GET|PUT /people/{id}, /companies/{id}, /opportunities/{id} — read or update.
  • POST /activities — log a note. Example: { method: 'POST', path: '/activities', body: { parent: { type: 'person', id: 7 }, type: { category: 'user', id: 0 }, details: 'Called' } }.

Deleting is not allowed.
