Ahrefs integration

In short

Read domain rating, backlinks, organic keywords and keyword data. Connect it on the Integrations page; your app then calls Ahrefs through Sapilon without ever holding an Ahrefs credential.

Lets your app read SEO data from Ahrefs — a site’s domain rating, backlinks, organic keywords and top pages, and search volume and difficulty for keywords.

Connecting

On the Integrations page choose Connect on Ahrefs and fill in:

  • API key — Ahrefs → Account settings → API keys → Generate key.

Sapilon checks the key with the provider before it saves it, and stores it encrypted; it is never shown again.

  • The Ahrefs API needs an Enterprise plan, and every call uses API units from it.

What your app can do

Only these requests are available; anything else is refused.

  • GET /subscription-info/limits-and-usage
  • GET /site-explorer/*
  • GET /keywords-explorer/*

How the agent uses it

Use integrations.request('ahrefs', …); paths are relative to https://api.ahrefs.com/v3.

  • GET /site-explorer/{report} — domain-rating, backlinks-stats, metrics, organic-keywords, top-pages, refdomains, all-backlinks. Example: { method: 'GET', path: '/site-explorer/domain-rating', query: { target: 'acme.com', date: '2026-10-15' } }. List reports need select (columns) and take limit.
  • GET /keywords-explorer/{report} — overview, matching-terms. Example: { method: 'GET', path: '/keywords-explorer/overview', query: { keywords: 'crm software', country: 'nl', select: 'keyword,volume,difficulty' } }.
  • GET /subscription-info/limits-and-usage — units left.

Every call costs units: cache results.
